MINA: Italian Hajj pilgrim Mohammed Luca has recounted his journey to Islam, which began in childhood after hearing a call to prayer (the adhan) on TV.
A guest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Luca said the adhan deeply moved him when he first heard it at the age of 12.
Its spirituality and tranquility prompted him to explore Islam, research its teachings and learn about the faith, he said.
That learning continued for many years before he embraced Islam, in which he found peace and clarity.
Luca said that performing Hajj as part of the guests program was among the most profound spiritual experiences of his life.
He expressed deep gratitude for the care he had received in the Kingdom and said the quality of the services and organization provided pilgrims with a deep sense of security and spirituality.
He also commended the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques.
