Al Ain Municipality has completed a project to develop and refurbish 14 pedestrian underpasses and 10 vehicle tunnels.
The project includes installing CCTV cameras in the downtown tunnels, installing rainwater drainage stations and conducting full maintenance and lighting works to the tunnels.
Sheikha Al Kaabi, project director, said the works were part of a Dh50 million scheme to develop and maintain tunnels and rainwater drainages in Al Ain.
