Ras Al Khaimah Police announced its 999 emergency number will be out of service from 3pm to 5pm on Tuesday. Police called on members of the community to use 997, the Civil Defence number, to report regular emergencies and 998 for medical emergencies.
Brig Gen Ghanem Ghanem, of RAK Police, said the scheduled interruption in service is due to improvement works aimed to enhance the emergency centre’s performance.
He called on the public to cooperate and said the operation centre was prepared to deal with all calls to 997.
