Germany is seeing a sharp rise in far-right violence, with police recording 1,598 right-wing motivated violent crimes in 2025, the highest level since 2016.

Authorities classify these offences — ranging from incitement and hate speech to serious acts such as assault and unlawful detention — as politically motivated crimes.
