UAE weather: Dusty winds expected; NCM warns of rough seas till May 24

The met department warned of fresh northwesterly winds reaching 40kmph and rough sea with wave height reaching 6 feet offshore

UAE residents can expect fair weather on May 23, with conditions turning dusty at times, according to the country's National Centre of Meteorology.
The winds will prevail in a northwesterly to southwesterly direction, causing blowing dust and sand westward, with a speed of 10kmph to 25kmph, reaching 40kmph.
The met department had said in their weather bulletin that the sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.

They issued a yellow alert early on Saturday, warning of rough sea conditions from 2.30am on Saturday, May 23 to 4.30am on Sunday, May 24. They warned of fresh northwesterly winds reaching 40kmph and rough sea with wave height reaching 6 feet offshore.
The met also said that temperatures will tend to decrease on Saturday, and light to moderate winds will blow. Temperatures are expected to range between 26°C to 35°C in Dubai, 27°C to 36°C in Abu Dhabi, and 25°C to 38°C in Sharjah.
